White Teeth Are A Sign Of Healthy And Strong Teeth
Reality: This may be true but not always.

Not everyone's teeth are the same. Many teeth that are not perfectly white can be healthy. In general, the fairer a person is, the more yellow or dark their teeth may appear, while the whiter the teeth of a dark-skinned person appear. Similarly, it is natural for teeth to turn yellow with age. British people are often the butt of jokes because of their naturally yellow teeth.

White teeth are considered a status symbol due to the influence of magazines and cinema all over the world. Such a smile gives them the pride of a Hollywood actor. Studies show that 18-52% of people are dissatisfied with the color of their teeth. Most of us would also prefer a smile full of sparkling white teeth.

In countries like the US, "tooth bleaching" is one of the most demanded dental procedures by patients. Sometimes, certain factors are responsible for its deterioration. In such cases, even getting your teeth cleaned can restore the original color of your teeth.

Common reasons:

- Lack of oral hygiene causes tartar to build up on the teeth, making them appear more yellow. Food particles and bacteria that accumulate on the teeth due to lack of proper care are the cause of their excessive blackening or greenish staining.

- Changes in the body, excess acidity, medication or illness can cause a change in the color of your teeth. If your diet is not healthy, or if you drink too much soda and some drinks, it can damage the enamel of your teeth and contribute to making them yellow. It is not surprising that people who drink tomato-based sauces, coffee and red wine have persistent stains on their teeth.

- Smoking is the biggest contributor to yellowing of teeth. Stains from cigarette tar and nicotine, as well as from eating tobacco, leaves, or bark, are undesirable.

- As mentioned earlier, not all teeth are the same. Some people are born with more porous enamel due to genetic reasons. In such a person, the teeth appear unusually yellow from the beginning. In some cases, stains, decay or other diseases affect the whiteness of the teeth and for this it is necessary to get them checked by a dentist.
