Metal-Free Bonded Restorations in Adajan, Surat
Natural. Strong. Safe.
Metal-free restorations, made from Zirconia or Lithium Disilicate (eMax), are the modern standard in restorative dentistry. These high-strength materials look and function like natural enamel, while bonding securely to tooth structure for long-lasting results.
At NxtDent Dental Clinic, we practice biomimetic dentistry—restoring teeth in a way that mimics nature. This means minimal tooth removal, stronger bonding, and restorations that last longer while protecting your natural tooth structure.
Types of Metal-Free Restorations

Though slightly more expensive than metal-based alternatives, these restorations deliver superior aesthetics, biocompatibility, and durability, making them a worthwhile investment in long-term oral health.
Metal-Free Partial Coverage Crowns – A Smarter Alternative to Full Crowns
Dental Inlays, Onlays, and Vonlays are minimally invasive, partial-coverage restorations that strengthen and protect your tooth — while conserving more of its natural structure. They are often a smarter choice than full crowns when only part of the tooth is damaged or worn.Crafted from e.max (Lithium Disilicate) — a high-strength ceramic — these restorations offer excellent translucency and aesthetics, making them ideal for areas where both appearance and preservation of natural tooth structure are important.
Benefits of Onlays (Partial Crowns):

Preserve more healthy tooth structure

Strengthen cracked or weakened teeth

Provide excellent durability and natural aesthetics

Reduce the risk of future tooth fracture
Partial-coverage restorations like onlays protect your tooth while keeping it as natural as possible — both in structure and appearance.
Our Recommendation: Choose e.max for all visible teeth, and Zirconia for back teeth where strength is critical. Partial coverage crowns could be the best solution to protect a root canal treated tooth.
6 Benefits of Metal-Free Restorations

Unlike traditional dentistry, metal-free restorations use biomimetic dentistry principles—minimal tooth cutting, stronger bonding, and enamel-like properties—to give you a restoration that’s both health-smart and naturally beautiful without compromising function.

Zirconia vs. eMax (Lithium Disilicate): Which is Better?
Zirconia crowns are extremely strong and ideal for back teeth or cases with high bite pressure, such as molars and bridges, especially for patients who grind their teeth. However, they tend to be more opaque and less natural-looking, though this can be improved by layering with porcelain. Zirconia requires slightly more tooth trimming and is cemented like traditional crowns. The cost ranges from ₹11,000 to ₹15,000 per crown.
On the other hand, e.Max crowns are made from highly translucent lithium disilicate, offering a naturally lifelike appearance without the need for additional layering. They are especially suited for front teeth, smile zone restorations, and post-root canal treatments like inlays, onlays, or table-top crowns for molars. e.Max requires minimal tooth trimming and is the only crown type that bonds directly to the tooth surface, providing a secure and tooth-friendly restoration. The cost is typically between ₹15,000 and ₹20,000 per crown.
Both materials are biocompatible and tissue-friendly, but at NxtDent, we usually recommend e.Max because it preserves more of your natural tooth, bonds securely, and is less likely to damage the tooth if chipped—making it a safer, long-term choice.
